Ellen DeGeneres is the queen of surprises, and this week, the talk show host pulled out all the stops once again to give a deserving teacher the surprise of a lifetime.
Antoinette Nelson, a ninth grade literature teacher at KIPP High School in Atlanta, attended the show as the "February Fan of the Month." She was chosen because she regularly incorporates clips from The Ellen DeGeneres Show in her lessons as a way to inspire her students. Although she and her husband live paycheck-to-paycheck, Nelson finds so much joy in motivating her students to dream big and believe in their dreams.
DeGeneres was so touched by her story that she even invited her to do a quick interview on the show. During the segment, Nelson admitted that it's her dream to attend the Mother's Day show, but that she isn't expecting…yet! That's when DeGeneres surprised her with a "baby-making basket," which included candles, wine, a Marvin Gaye CD and much more.
Then, DeGeneres reveals that she's sending Nelson and her husband to the breathtaking Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita in Riviera Nayarit. During the six-day vacation, they'll stay in an ocean-view vista, golf on a world-class course and enjoy the spa. Completely shocked, Nelson's jaw drops. Her reaction is so priceless that it'll instantly put a smile on your face.
