Sometimes miracles come from the most unexpected places. When times are tough and things look like they couldn't possibly be worse, the world has a tendency to shine a light on those who need it, making miracles happen in places you could never have imagined.
Take this "Super Soul Sunday" video from OWN TV, for example. When Emma the pig arrived at Apricot Lane Farms, she was extremely skinny, very sick, and also on the verge of giving birth. She was so sick, in fact, that Farmer John Chester didn't expect her to have more than six piglets, if she even had any at all.
Emma soon went into labor, giving birth to a miraculous number of piglets — 18 in total, 13 of which survived. Chester and the rest of his family and farm workers couldn't believe the pig's luck. 13 amazing little piglets.
The problem, however, was that Emma was already exhausted from a lengthy birthing period, and now she would have to provide nourishment for her 13 piglets. Her milk soon dried up and Emma appeared listless and tired. The mama pig, quite literally, needed a miracle.
John Chester decided to take the 13 piglets away from their mother briefly to give her a respite and try to recover her strength. Fighting a 108-degree fever and unwilling to eat, it seemed like Emma's days were numbered.
Chester and his staff were able to get Emma's temperature to drop, but they still couldn't get her to eat. That's when they had a crazy idea. What if they put her piglets back in with Emma? What if they gave her a reason to live?
So that's precisely what they did. Soon, the pig was showing signs of life, feeding her piglets, and on the road to recovery. Amazing!
