The following is a story that's been shared on Facebook by thousands of people. We loved it so much, we wanted to share it with you. It's about a seemingly happy couple who has been married for four decades. They decided to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary by going out to dinner at an intimate restaurant. That's when things take an unexpected, whimsical turn. Suddenly, right there on the table, a tiny fairy appears.
As soon as the fairy hears that this husband and wife has been married for 40 years, she lights up with joy. She's so grateful to have landed on the table of such a dedicated couple that she decided to grant them each a wish — anything they want. All they have to do is ask. While the wife's wish is something so spectacular — and inclusive of her husband — the husband's wish is something that would make any woman throw their glass of wine right in his face. But it's the fairy's "revenge" that makes this story so delightful.
