Fast food is my guilty pleasure. Even though it's not always the healthiest option, sometimes convenience wins out over health and I succumb to the delicious taste of a McDonalds Big Mac.
Though fast food restaurants already have delicious offerings on their menu, it might please you to know that some places also have secret menus!
We all have our go-to orders at our favorite fast food chains, but sometimes it's fun to switch it up with something new. Plus, it feels pretty cool asking an employee for something that's not on the menu and feeling like you're part of a secret fast food club.
Every restaurant's secret menu is different and some secret menus are more advertised than others. Some restaurants will even post their secret menus on their website if you look hard enough!
Unfortunately, not every location will cook the items from the secret menus, but if you ask nicely, they should be able to accommodate your request!
These eight restaurants below all have secret menus with exciting offerings, but they're certainly not the only restaurants with non-advertised offerings. Once you learn about these secret menus, you'll never look at your favorite fast food restaurant the same way again!

1. In-N-Out
Though it's one of the worst kept secrets in fast food history, most of In-N-Out's offerings are actually not listed on their menu.
If you head to their website, though, you can find their "not-so-secret menu", which includes grilled cheese, a protein style burger sans bun, and a 4×4 burger if you're feeling extra hungry.
2. Starbucks
Every Starbucks regular knows that Starbucks baristas will put together pretty much anything, so long as they have the ingredients on hand.
Several superfans even run blogs where they reveal how to recreate their secret menu concoctions, like a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie frappuccino and a halloween eggnog frappuccino.
3. McDonalds
McDonalds has a diverse selection of foods and all-day breakfast offerings, making it easy for them to mix and match to create fun secret menu items.
For instance, MSN noted that you can substitute a fried chicken patty for the sausage or bacon in a McGriddle to create a Chicken McGriddle. If you want the sausage and bacon as well, you can even just order the McGriddle and add the McChicken patty!
4. Five Guys
According to Bustle, Five Guys has an array of secret menu offerings, all of which you will love if you're a big cheese fan.
One of my personal favorites is the double grilled cheeseburger, which replaces the traditional hamburger bun with two grilled cheeses.
5. Burger King
Vegetarians will be happy to hear that Burger King has several meat-free options on their secret menu like the Veggie Whopper, which replaces the beef patty in a Whopper with a veggie burger patty.
6. Carl's Jr.
Carl's Jr. doesn't really advertise it, but they have something called their "Other Side" menu, featuring healthier burger, salad, and side options.
On the "Other Side" menu, you'll find everything from fried zucchini to a low carb Thickburger, which replaces the hamburger bun with lettuce and pickles.
7. Taco Bell
Let's put it this way: If Taco Bell has the ingredients for it, they probably will make it, and people have probably already tried it.
A prime example of this is The Superman, which is a cheesy double beef burrito with added potatoes, sour cream, guacamole, and crispy tortilla strips.
8. Arby's
You would never know to look for it, but Arby's does have a secret menu full of mouthwatering meat sandwiches.
Arby's secret menu is perhaps best known for the Meat Mountain sandwich, loaded with almost every meat on the menu, including chicken tenders, roast turkey, ham, corned beef, smoked brisket, and more. It's described online as "the biggest sandwich Arby’s has ever sold".
