I've tried countless designs on my nails. Even with my unsteady hand, I still enjoy trying different cool patterns, from the simple paint splatter that calls for a toothpick to the surprisingly easy travel-inspired design.
But the biggest problem when doing my nails is not the difficulty of the art, nor the patience required to attempt it.
It's what happens after the manicure: the inevitable broken nail.
We've all had a broken nail or two in our lifetime. It can ruin a perfect manicure. But I especially hate it when I've spent weeks growing out my nails, and in one fell swoop I have to cut them all short again!
But not anymore, thanks to this tutorial that uses a very surprising item: a teabag!
It's so easy to do: all you need is a pair of scissors, some nail glue, tweezers, a nail buffer, a top coat, and a teabag!
First, cut out a small section of the tea bag just big enough to cover the affected area of the nail. Apply some nail glue to that area, and gently place the piece of teabag on top with some tweezers. Make sure the section of the teabag covers the entirety of the broken part of the nail, including the very side, or else the nail has a greater chance of breaking again.
Let the nail dry for an hour. Meanwhile, you can continue your mani on all your other nails! Use a nail buffer to eliminate the parts of the teabag that stick out. Then you're ready to paint over the broken nail! Just remember to use a base coat to keep your nails strong and beautiful!
