A house can look completely normal on the outside, but the interior where is where things get interesting.
Interior design can really reflect who you are as a person. For instance, someone who makes their own nail art is probably a crafty and creative person. Someone who has a completely pink kitchen is cute, kitschy, and feminine. And someone who collects Coca-Cola memorabilia is light, bubbly, and likes Americana.
The only problem with customized interiors is that sometimes embellishment can be expensive, especially if you like the finer things in life.
You may also like the idea of creating some of your decor on your own, but you don’t have the artistic or craft ability to pull that off.
Don’t sell yourself short. You totally do!
There are some very simple DIY projects out there that aren’t just easy — they’re really pretty too! They can really jazz up a room for half the price of buying something at a store.
Best part? Many of them take under 20 minutes to do — just like this project I stumbled upon and tried out here at LittleThings.
I had so much fun doing this simple project, in fact, that I had an ear-to-ear grin the entire time I did it. It was so much fun and I really loved the end result…
First things I did was cut a brick of floral foam into chunks.
Then I took a cardboard letter, cut out the top of it, and then stuffed the foam inside of it.
Then I took another letter and did the same.
Once both letters (an “L” and “T” for “LittleThings”) were fully stuffed with floral foam I was ready to move on to the next step.
I took a bunch of fake flowers and cut off the blooms. You want a little stem, but not too much.
Once I had cut off the blooms, I stuck the flowers into the floral foam.
I arranged them however I wanted.
And once I had filled up all the space, I got a beautiful floral monogram!
It’s a great way to jazz up the walls of your home. It may also be fun to use the initial of your last name and hang it on your front door and change the colors of the flowers to reflect each season.
