A Florida mother was taken out of her daughter's hospital room in handcuffs. That's because Lynn Savage didn't want her nonverbal daughter to be left alone. She refused to leave her adult daughter's bedside, but in doing so, broke COVID rules.
The mom spoke out after the incident. She said that she has absolutely no regrets, even though she had to spend the night in jail.
Lynn's daughter was recovering from brain surgery after a stroke. Lynn says that not only did she need to be there to support her daughter, but that she also acts as her interpreter.
The 70-year-old was asked to leave the hospital once visiting hours were over. But when she resisted leaving daughter Amber's side, hospital staff wouldn't let up.
"I could not in good conscience, in good heart, leave her bedside not knowing how she would make it through the night voluntarily," Lynn said.

She continued, "I stand by my actions 100 percent. I am not sorry that I made them take me out of there in handcuffs."
Not only did Lynn spend the night in jail, she was faced with a trespassing charge. However, that charge was later dropped.
