This video seems odd at first, in its quiet serenity a plane softly lands in the distance. The footage shows the plane setting down before the cameraman violently pans to something weird in the distance.
This black speck grows larger and larger as the unidentified flying object flies in on its final approach for landing. Suddenly the grey speck begins to take form and your mind can't really comprehend what you're seeing; it seems to be a flying elephant instead of an airplane!
As the hulking mass flies closer and closer, it does turn out to be a beautiful elephant who is flying. As the elephant flies by, the cameraman struggles to keep him in frame, and as the elephant slows down he manages to touch down for a beautiful landing.
As the elephant begins to happily walk around the airport the heartbreaking message becomes clear. Elephants and many other exotic animals from all over the world are not simple souvenirs. These are living and breathing animals that deserve to live their lives in the wild, and for too long far too many people have helped increase their suffering.
Even if people haven't themselves hurt the animals, if anyone buys an object that has ivory or exotic animal furs, then they help increase the demand for these beautiful endangered creatures. If the animals wanted to come over here they would fly!
While the elephant in this video is obviously a computer rendering, it's very well done, and the message they have for the end honestly brought tears to our eyes!
