I Sprayed Hair-Removing Foam All Over My Arms. Here’s How They Looked 10 Minutes Later

Body hair is a topic many women don't talk about nearly as much as they should.

Sometimes we're too embarrassed to bring it up, but the truth is, we all have it!

When I was little, I used to hate how hairy my arms were. I thought my Sicilian genes were working against me. Then, I realized there were so many other people like me in the world.

I still like to remove my arm hair in the warmer months. I'm not opposed to alternative shaving methods and waxing, but this time, I wanted to try out something different.

I decided to test out a Fuzz Off Foam by Bliss to get rid of my arm hair. The unique texture and promise of a fresh scent had me hooked. I had to see how it worked.

Maybe it would turn out even better than the traditional shaving and waxing techniques I'd been using for years. So, I gave it a whirl!

My Previous Experiences With Hair Removal

I've had hairy arms for as long as I can remember. It makes me wonder if my arms were hairy in the womb. The hair has always been a special feature of mine that I really don't like and I've often found myself feeling insecure about it.

I remember trying to trim my arm hair in the bathroom when I was 8 and leaving myself with an uneven, stubbly mess. Although it wasn't the way to go, that moment kickstarted my never-ending hunt for the ultimate hair removal method.

In recent years, I've eased up on my journey and just let the arm hair grow. However, it's nice to have some smooth arms every once in a while. So, I decided to try out something new — a product called Fuzz Off Foam!

What Is Fuzz Off Foam?

So what is Bliss' Fuzz Off Foam?

Fuzz Off Foam is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. It's a foam that removes your fuzz — or hair, depending on where you're using it.

Sounds similar to other depilatory methods, but foamy (for extra fun).

What Are The Claims Of Fuzz Off Foam?

I have a lot of arm hair, so the claims of this product sounded pretty promising.

Fuzz Off Foam claims it will remove your body hair within five to 10 minutes and leave you super smooth.

Well, I'm impatient and smooth sounds great to me.

It also claims to be "fresh-scented." I was a skeptic about that one, having used a lot of depilatory products that smelled like garbage. I was curious to find out what I was in for.

How Is It Supposed To Work?

The idea behind Fuzz Off Foam is pretty simple. You spray it on, wait the set amount of time, then all the chemicals wear down your follicles so they wipe right off.

I sprayed a little of the Fuzz Off Foam into my hand just to check out the texture.

I noticed the foam wasn't as thick as I had imagined, but seemed to cover the area I'd sprayed pretty well.

How To Use Fuzz Off Foam

Now, here's the exciting part!

Once I opened the package, I went straight for the instructions. If you're using anything that's supposed to remove hair from your body somehow, it's best to play it by the book.

The instructions say to apply the Fuzz Off Foam in a shower or tub so you don't get anything important dirty.

Then, you're supposed to shake the can well and hold it two inches away from your skin and spray away!

Next, you leave the Fuzz Off Foam on your skin for about five minutes before wiping off a small test area. If there's still hair, keep going, but don't exceed a total of 10 minutes with the foam on your body.

Finally, you wipe it all off with a washcloth and rinse. When using in more sensitive areas, the instructions advise you to spray it into your hand first, then apply.

Sounds simple enough, right?

Before Fuzz Off Foam

This is my arm before the Fuzz Off Foam removal.

The hair is dark and fine, but there's a ton of it. My skin is also pretty pale — perfect for showing off just how hairy I am.

I was hoping the Fuzz Off Foam would be a quick and easy fix, and I was about to find out.

First Impression Of Fuzz Off Foam

Once I sprayed it on, the scent hit me.

I was having flashbacks of the hair removal creams I used in seventh grade before I was allowed to shave my legs. The smell was so strong and unpleasant. I think it's just a feature all hair removal products will always have, no matter how hard they try to cover it up.

It was definitely easy to spray and went directly where it was supposed to.

Aside from the smell, it seemed pretty decent.

After Application

My arm was covered in white foam, which I couldn't help giggling at.

Unfortunately, the smell was way too overwhelming and made it a little hard to breathe in my small bathroom.

While I was waiting, I felt a cooling effect on my arm, which was kind of nice.

Checking Test Patch

I followed the instructions and checked a patch after five minutes of waiting. The foam came clean off my arm, but not all the hairs went with it.

I decided to wait the full 10 minutes to see just how well the Fuzz Off Foam would work at its greatest potential.

Removing Fuzz Off Foam

After the full 10-minute wait, I grabbed my washcloth again and swiped all the white fluff off my arm.

It took only a few seconds to remove it all and the mess was minimal. There were no drips or stains anywhere.

Then, I took a look at my freshly de-fuzzed arm.

Before And After Using Fuzz Off Foam

All in all, the Fuzz Off Foam definitely worked, but it still left a few straggler hairs on my arm.

I could still feel tiny prickles of stubble from where the hair had been removed too.

Although the feeling wasn't completely smooth, my arm looked pretty hairless. It was probably a 90% success.

Final Thoughts On Fuzz Off Foam

So, here are my final thoughts.

This Fuzz Off Foam definitely removed my arm hair, but not all of it and not all the way down to the pore.

It's not perfect and I hated the strong smell, so I'll probably stick to waxing. However, if I'm ever in a pinch, the Fuzz Off Foam will be my product of choice.

Fuzz Off Foam would probably work better on people with finer and sparser arm hair than mine. If you decide to test Fuzz Off Foam for yourself, make sure to do it in a well-ventilated room!
