Gigi Hadid is one of today's "it girls" walking the runway for some of the biggest brands, including Versace and Chanel.
However, the 20-year-old is receiving countless hurtful remarks from people who think she's, well, too fat for high fashion. (Shocking, I know!)
But the 5'10 model refuses to let the negative remarks get to her.
Much like plus-size model Ruby Roxx, who fired back at the "cyber bullies" with a powerful open letter, Hadid shared body postive words on Instagram.
“I represent a body image that wasn’t accepted in high-fashion before, and I’m very lucky to be supported by the designers, stylists, and editors that I am: ones that know this is fashion, it’s art, it can never stay the same. It’s 2015. But if you’re not one of those people, don’t take your anger out on me," Hadid wrote.
"Your mean comments don't make me want to change my body," wrote Hadid, who told Vogue that she did feel "self-conscious" at first.
She also told the magazine that her Instagram post isn't just defending herself against internet bullies, it was meant to inspire women of all shapes and sizes.
"I think that it’s all types of body types that are being affected by this, it’s not just me," she said. "It was the message that I love feeling sexy in myself and I’m not going to change it for other people’s opinions."

After walking at New York and Milan Fashion Weeks, supermodel Gigi Hadid started to feel "self-conscious" after reading negative remarks from cyber bullies. Some called her fat, while others mocked her runway walk.

Although it bothered her at first, she decided to share a body positive message to defend herself. She also wanted to encourage other women to embrace their bodies.

"Yes, judgement on social media comes from people who, 99% of the time, have no idea what they’re talking about, but I’m human, and I’m not going to lie, I did let the negativity get to me a little," she wrote.

She continued, "No, I don’t have the same body type as the other models in the shows. No, I don’t think I’m the best at any given show. Yes, I want to have a unique walk, but I also know I have to improve. No, I’m not the first or the last model of my type in this industry."

"You can make up all the reasons you think I am where I am, but really, I’m a hard worker that’s confident in myself, one that came at a time where the fashion industry was ready for change. I’m just doing my job,” she shared. “I represent a body image that wasn’t accepted in high-fashion before…"
She received a lot of support from other models, including Tyra Banks, who has also been bullied for her weight gain over the years.

Plus-size model Ashley Graham was also touched by Hadid's words.
