Groom Sings A Silly Song He Wrote For His Wife On Their Wedding Day

When Richard and Sara were still just dating, Richard made her one promise that she never thought he would keep.

When couples date early on, I'm sure each person probably says some things that they'll regret years later. Sometimes, you just can't predict what the future will bring. Things could be looking really great job-wise, and you promise your significant other a lavish vacation at some point in the future. Then, maybe the big promotion falls through and you have to take back your promise, at least until you do get that raise.

But, Richard's promise wasn't to take his bride on an expensive vacation, or to give her any fancy jewelry. All he promised her was that if, someday, they did get married, he'd write her a song to sing on their wedding day.

They were both sitting up at the table when Richard stood up to give his speech, microphone in hand. When he starts to sing, it takes everything in Sara to keep from blushing. The words he substituted for "Half the World Away" by Oasis are so sweet, and so silly, too.

He admits to not being the best singer in the world, but this is one of the sweetest things I've seen at a wedding. You can see his hand shaking as he holds the lyrics, he was so nervous, and she was so surprised!

But, a promise is a promise…
