I love coming across a friendly little critter like a squirrel or chipmunk wandering around my neighborhood. Usually they're too skittish to get close, but that's totally fine by me since it's just as adorable to simply watch them scurry around with their bushy tails and tiny, fuzzy bodies. Sometimes, however, they can be a bit of a menace when it comes to the sneaky ways they tend to rummage around for food. Others are precociously brave with their endeavors, walking right up to a human and requesting a nibble of their lunch.
The guy in the video below, however, was not thrilled when he noticed his bird feeder being raided on a regular basis by a mysterious culprit. After awhile, he was finally able to catch the cutie red-handed — or more specifically, full-cheeked. Sitting comfortably on the man's wooden bird buffet, he walks right up to the petite chipmunk for a full interrogation. It would be a bit difficult for the animal to attempt defending himself with all the seeds he's got stuffed in his face, but he doesn't look like he's going to challenge the man anyway.
In fact, he not only confesses his crime, he guiltily returns the pilfered items by emptying his mouth right on the spot. It is, as the man says, kind of gross, but also hilarious to see just how much he was able to cram into his itty-bitty body! I wonder if he'll have enough courage to come back for more when the man leaves. Either way, I'm glad he recorded this priceless encounter.
