Man Makes A Powerful Statement About Female Body Sizes By Wearing His Girlfriend’s Clothes

Shopping for clothes can be one of the most frustrating things for women. You can be a size 8 at H&M, but a size 12 at Macy's and there is literally nothing different about your body when shopping at either store. You may wear an XL, but don't feel like you're an XL. Size means nothing, yet society has lead us to believe it's important.

I think Amy Schumer's message about body labels really nails this "size issue" we have. If you have a significant other, chances are you've complained to them once or twice (or 50 times) about trying on clothes. Benjamin Ashton Cooper was helping his girlfriend get rid of some clothing and when he saw the size on the labels, he was not a fan.

He didn't think his girlfriend was an XL and he thought it was insane that she wore those sizes, because he could fit into her clothing. So he put on some of her clothing and posted it on his Facebook page to highlight this. Read his body-positive message below!

Benjamin Ashton Cooper wrote: "So I'm helping my girlfriend clean out her closet (literally, shut up), and I noticed that a lot of what she was getting rid of was of the XL size. That didn't look right to me, and here's why: They fit me. I don't say that to be silly or ironic."

He continued his pretty epic post by saying: "It pisses me off.

"I am not an extra large man, and, more importantly, a woman my size is NOT an extra large woman. This bullsht right here is why we have 8 year olds with eating disorders. This sht right here is why men shout "f*king fat hog!" at even nominally curvy girls on the street. This is why men who think sexism is a 'myth' perpetuated by liberal pssies are Full. Of. Sh*t.

"F**k body shaming. ‪#‎EndBodyShaming‬."

Like this Facebook user, you may have been curious as to what Benjamin's clothing size was after reading his post. So he can fit into a boy's youth large AND a women's XL because that is how absurdly different women's clothing sizes tend to be.

Many other comments agreed with how crazy the issues women face when selecting their size are. But out of all the comments on the post, we think the one from Benjamin's mother sticks out the most. We agree, you have every right to be proud of him!
