Woman Posts Photo Of Chicken Seasoning She’s Giving Out For Halloween And People Are Losing It

Kids around the world look forward to Halloween every single year for so many reasons.

Some little boys and girls just love dressing up as their favorite characters and heroes for the holiday. After all, it's a chance to play dress up and hang out with friends!

But there's no denying that other children are just in it for the Halloween candy.

While the other 364 days of the year they have to listen to parents' and dentists' rules about avoiding excessive sweets or risking cavities, Halloween is essentially the only time kids have a (mostly) free pass to eat all of the sugary and chocolatey goods that they love the most.

Some adults absolutely love answering the door and passing out sweets to trick-or-treaters dressed in their Halloween best. One Twitter user posted a photo of the bowl of "candy" she says she'll be passing out to kids this year. Now, the internet is in hysterics.

Scroll through to find out what unlikely "treat" this user claims she's giving kids in her neighborhood!

For many kids, trick-or-treating is hands down their favorite thing about Halloween.

Twitter user @jessy_onono decided to prepare for the candy-filled holiday a few days in advance.

But piles of candy corn — Halloween's most divisive treat — were nowhere to be found in the bowl of "candy" that she intended to give out.

Instead, Jessy shared a photo of what at first glance appears to be a pile of square, wrapped candies. They almost look like a bunch of caramels.

But when you look closer, you can see the bags of chicken seasoning behind the bucket — because apparently she's giving out cubes of chicken seasoning.

No one was exactly sure whether this bucket of "candy" was a joke or not. The tweet quickly went viral, and even made its way into a Twitter round-up of Halloween tweets.

Reactions were… mixed, to say the least.

A few people were all for Jessy's plan to encourage the unsuspecting trick-or-treaters to season their food.

One even joked that she was "doing the lords work."

Others were simply horrified at the thought of getting a cube of pure sodium instead of a bar of chocolate.

Still more joked that they'd have just been happy to get free groceries.

Some users were just impressed with what they called "the funniest Halloween prank ever."

And it does seem pretty clear that this is just a joke — can you imagine a kid coming home and excitedly biting into a cube of pure seasoning? No, thanks!
