Herman’s Hermits Sing ”Henry The Eighth I Am”

Back in 1965, there was a British pop band with enigmatic musicians who sang catchy tunes that quite a few Americans loved.

It wasn't The Beatles, in fact it was a band that went by the name of Herman's Hermits, and when you listen to their catchy song "I'm Henry the Eighth, I am" you won't be able to keep the smile off of your face!

Originally a British music hall song written up around 1910, it remained popular among British schoolchildren; but when Herman's Hermits started singing this never-ending song, it quickly became an ear-worm that the American's just couldn't stop singing. And since their initial performance, it's remained in popular culture ever since!

The song itself focuses around King Henry the VIII and his tendency to get remarried to new wives time and time again! The song became the groups second "number-one" song on the Billboard Hot 100, and it really goes to show that sometimes good humor and jokes can go a long way!

Do you remember when this hilarious song came out and how many people just couldn't stop singing it? It really has an incredible ability to get stuck in your head like some of those old Disney songs!

Please SHARE this catchy tune if you remember the lyrics too!
