When I was in high school I dreaded picture day. No matter what I did, I could never get my hair just right — not to mention the hours I spent trying to find the perfect outfit only to have three-quarters of it cut off in the photo.
But North Farmington High School in Michigan allows its senior students to have a little fun with their photos. As a tradition, all those going into their senior year are allowed to dress up as a character, whether it's from a movie, a TV show, or a funny video they saw online. The only rules are that there can be no blood or gore.
This year, some students went above and beyond with their choices. I'm blown away by their creativity! Many of the participants uploaded their high school ID card photos to Twitter, and thousands of people around the world are in stitches over the results.
Many of the posts have received over 50,000 likes and 14,000 retweets in under two days because they're that amazing!
Keep scrolling to see some of the hilarious characters these high school students dressed up as!
You may have to do a double take at Shelby Sheridan's ID card, because she looks exactly like Cher from the 1995 movie Clueless!
Comments on her photo ranged from people saying it was super clever to students wishing their school would let them do this.
Instead of taking inspiration from a movie, Abby Coleman dressed up as little Beatrix Hart, who is known as "the cotton candy girl."
Beatrix had everyone in stitches after she was filmed going crazy for cotton candy at a baseball game in 2016.
Abby has had over 40,000 people love her photo on Twitter.
Nick Murphy looks exactly like Harry Potter in his school photo. He even made sure to add the lightning bolt-shaped scar to his forehead.
Too bad he can't use spells to ace his tests!
Tallon and Delaney dressed up as one of TV's most beloved couples, Jim and Pam from The Office.
Twitter users have told the pair their photos have won over their classmates!
Morgan looks just like Hairspray's Tracy Turnblad in her school photo — she even remembered the can of hair spray!
The students don't always dress up as characters from recent movies and shows. Brianna Hicks took inspiration from 1996's Matilda and dressed up as Lavender!
Cindy Lou Who comes to life in Aubrey's photo. Her hair looks exactly like the cartoon character's!
While Haley is much too young to have been around when Full House originally aired, it didn't stop her from dressing up as the adorable Michelle Tanner!
If Disney is thinking about adding a live action Toy Story movie to its growing list, Alena gets my vote as Jessie! She even got the character's smile down perfectly.
