A Cappella Singing Group Nails A Famous Johnny Cash Song

When a cappella singing group Home Free performed Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire" on NBC's The Sing-Off, the group proved why they deserved to be in the competition.

Like the six men who added their own flare to “Hotel California” by the Eagles, the talented guys also did the same with the 1960s hit. Their version left the judges – Ben Folds, Shawn Stockman, and Jewel – in complete awe.

The five vocalists from Minneapolis – Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Chris Rupp, Tim Foust and Adam Rupp – also added a few dance moves to the performance, making it even more entertaining to watch.

The performance was such a success, the group later recorded a version for their debut album, Crazy Life, along with a music video that has more than 9 million views on YouTube. They also began performing it on tour as shown in the video below, which was taken by a fan at their performance in Seattle almost two years later.

It's hard to turn away the minute the beat speeds up and they start mimicking instruments with their vocal cords, similarly to the Israeli musicians who used the same technique for an impressive Bob Marley tribute. (Make sure to pay attention to the member on the right at the 1:08 mark!)

Once you watch the performance below, I'm sure you'll also understand why they were crowned the winners of season four in 2013.

Please SHARE if you were blown away by this group's talent, and if you couldn't help singing along!
