This video is both morbid and fascinating, considering it takes you through the process of cremation. I had no idea this is how it works — but don't worry, this video doesn't contain graphic imagery.
Cremation is an alternative to the interment of an intact dead body in a coffin or casket. It uses high-temperature burning, vaporization, and oxidation to reduce dead animal or human bodies to basic chemical compounds, such as gases and mineral fragments retaining the appearance of dry bone.
Many people who have seen this wonder how they identify the bodies. It many cases, a metal tag is attached to the body and cremated with the remains, but not destroyed in the process. The tag is returned to the family.
What do you think of this process? Were you shocked to see how it's done?
