This Microwave Technology Will Make Sure You NEVER Burn Popcorn Again!

Generally, I prefer cooking with my oven, grill, or stove, but when I'm in a rush, I'll reluctantly use the microwave. Now, I don't mean to hate on my microwave. It's just that my microwave never cooks my food exactly how I want it.

For example, microwave popcorn might be one of mankind's greatest inventions, but I feel like I never get it perfect. I either end up burning part of the popcorn, or I leave at least a quarter of the kernels completely unpopped!

Similarly, with foods like burritos, hot pockets, or leftovers, I'll heat up the item (thinking I've rotated it sufficiently) only to find that one half is scalding hot and the other is still frozen.

Fortunately, someone has come up with an invention that may revolutionize the way we use microwaves. There's only one problem — it's not available for sale yet.

YouTube personality and inventor Mark Rober has created a prototype for a new kind of microwave featuring a patented technology that he claims will make our lives simpler and prevent under- or over-cooked microwave dishes.

Read on to find out how you can get this invention in your house, and watch his video below.

As he says in his video, we've seen amazing technological updates to phones, cars, and toys, but why not microwaves? These kitchen gadgets seem stuck in the '60s.

You either get food that's frozen in sections, or so hot that it's painful!

There's no way to tell visually whether our food is the same temperature throughout. We can look, but there's no way to tell until we feel it or taste it.

But what if humans, like some other animals, had infrared vision. What if we could see the heat levels of the food before we remove it from the oven? For example, this photo shows where the burrito is cool (blue) and hot (red.)

Rober suggests revolutionizing the microwave. Why not implant an infrared camera inside the microwave?

Instead of staring inside the microwave, a screen can display the heat levels of the food.

You can see the food as it begins to warm and know whether or not it's cooking evenly.

You'll know the food is fully cooked when it's all white.

Because a camera monitors the food, you can see the results from your phone. You don't have to stare at the microwave door anymore!

If it's not cooking enough, you can even add 30 seconds to the timer straight from your phone.

With a screen on your microwave, why not watch some YouTube videos while you defrost that chicken?

You can even look up some recipes!

If this sounds like something you'd want in your home, it can become a reality. He doesn't want your money to fund the project. He has investors willing to help make it a reality — if they can prove people are interested...
