In 2006, Gwilym Pugh was a bright-eyed 21-year-old, excited to have already set up his own business.
Gwilym was working as an insurance salesman, and he gained weight because of his long hours. He told the Daily Mail, "At that time, I was pretty overweight, working 12 hours a day, plagued with injuries, which meant I couldn't train at all."
Eventually, Gwilym decided he wanted to get healthy again, so he started to cut out junk food. When he formed a band with his friend, Gwilym's barber told him he should grow out his ginger locks to go with the band's folksy vibe.
Gwilym really transformed his look when he finally quit his desk job. Over the five years that followed, he lost around 100 pounds and got into incredible shape.
Now, the 33-year-old redhead is an insanely attractive model who has a huge Instagram following.

When Gwilym decided to quit his desk job, his entire life changed.
He started losing weight, getting in shape, and becoming much healthier.
As he started losing weight, Gwilym set up an Instagram account, where people began following his journey.
When Welsh tailor Nathan Palmer saw Gwilym's photos, he launched the redhead's new job as a professional model.
Gwilym was then in a coffee table book about beards and a part of the Red Hot Photography project.
Since his early modeling days, Gwilym's career has taken off.
Now, he's worked for companies like Diesel, Vans, and Bud Light.
Gwilym is also an ambassador for House 99, David Beckham's male grooming brand.
Today, Gwilym travels the world and works with creative people everywhere.
He's also pursuing a photography career.
After Gwilym's transformation started getting attention online, he wrote:
I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone commenting kind words and supporting me, I think it’s easy to criticise people, especially online, but it’s 2018 and we need to start lifting each other up!
Literally anything is possible, even if you’re not aware of it yet.
On February 23, he also turned to Instagram to write:
It’s amazing what a difference 10 years can make! I really want to hammer that home… 10 years…
What I’ve done has nothing on countless people out there who have changed their lives for the better.
But I want to keep spreading the word that anything is possible if you give it enough time and patience.
For me, my journey is continuous and is about more than appearance but rather personal development inside and out.
I didn’t set out to do what I’m currently doing, but as you learn and grow you become more open and confident to recognise and accept opportunities as they present themselves.
When you have self doubt, you have to stand up inside and tell yourself to shut up!! I’m a firm believer that as you positively affect others, good things happen…. Maybe not immediately but definitely in the long term!
It's impressive that after all his success, Gwilym is still so humble!
