Mom, 35, Wakes Up From Month-Long Coma And Meets Her Newborn Baby For The First Time

Social media influencer Jackie Miller James has miraculously awoken from her coma after suffering a brain aneurysm rupture. The 35-year-old was finally able to meet her newborn baby, who was delivered by an emergency C-section. The family shared the great news via Jackie's Instagram, thanking the community for all the prayers, love, and support.

"We are beyond thrilled to share that your loving prayers for Jackie have been working!" the post read. "Jackie is awake and was recently transferred to one of the best neurological rehabilitation hospitals in the country. The doctors have been pleased upon her latest tests, numbers, and evaluations, noting that Jackie is performing above expectations at this stage of her recovery and is progressing more with every passing day."

"While Jackie is making wonderful strides, she has an incredibly long road to recovery ahead of her," the post continued. "The prayers, love, and support from this community are more important than ever as she continues to heal."

The post continued on another slide. "Jackie & Austin's baby girl is a constant source of light for the entire family and continues to grow into a happy, healthy, and animated little angel. Jackie has also recently been reunited with her baby, and spends a great deal of each day with her entire family while in the hospital."

"We are currently navigating rehabilitation needs, medical bills, and insurance claims," the second slide continued. "The resources raised from the GoFundMe will allow us to give Jackie the very best care and every chance at recovery. We are so appreciative of your donations, every little bit continues to help."

The last slide of the post ended saying that the family respects Jackie's privacy during the time, and going forward, she will be the one to share on her page if and when she's ready. The family thanked the community, sharing they are "eternally grateful."

A post was made by her family on June 6, 2023, stating that Jackie had suffered an aneurysm rupture just one week before her due date and was put in a medically-induced coma. Her baby girl, at the time of the post, was able to leave the NICU and go home.

Fans from her community have been showing an outpouring of love and support throughout the entire time.

"If anyone can get through this it’s Jax," someone shared. "Praying every day for our girl and her baby girl and family. We’ll be here whatever you need. ."

"Our girl!!!" someone else commented. "You are phenomenal jackie we need you, and here you are being the strong, incredible person you are!"

The family has raised $334,657 of the $450,000 goal through GoFundMe. The page shared that Jackie is expected to remain in the hospital for months as she makes a recovery.
