After his wife of 60 years passed, Jimmy Breland was heartbroken. Little did he know, she'd found a way to console him, even after her death.
According to Cliff Sims, the couple's grandson, Jimmy had stayed by Billie's side in the hospital taking care of her, just as he'd done during their entire marriage. She died at age 83. Days later, the grief-stricken widower came across a touching note that she'd left in her checkbook for him to find.
According to Sims' Facebook post, the note read: "Please don't cry because I died! Smile because I lived! Know that I'm in a happy place! Know that we will meet again! I will see you there!"
The family wasn't sure when the note was written, but it has helped ease Jimmy's pain from losing his partner. This beautiful message perfectly sums up the hope and comfort that comes with knowing they'll meet again.
