Jon Gosselin rose to fame thanks to the hit 2007 reality television series Jon & Kate Plus 8. It ran for five seasons and followed the hectic lives of the then-married couple and their sextuplets and twins. It is hard to imagine, but the kids are all grown up these days.
Reality TV fame isn’t all rainbows and sunshine. It took its toll on the family. Currently Jon only speaks to two of his eight children. He opened up about this when attending an event at the Beverly Hills Rejuvenation in West Hollywood, California.
Hannah and Collin were living with Jon, but they have left the nest. They are 19 and pursuing their college education. It has taken Jon some time to adjust to this new normal.
"Hannah and Collin store their stuff in my house," Jon explained. "They don't really live there. But it's a different time for me in my life only because, one day they're in my house, and then the next day they're not." Hannah has started college. Collin will begin in the fall.

Jon admits time feels like it's moving too fast and that the kids moved out "all of a sudden." He is experiencing some whiplash. "You're like, 'Oh, what am I gonna do now?'" he explained.
Unfortunately, Jon only has relationships with Hannah and Collin. He remains estranged from the rest of the sextuplets, Aaden, Alexis, Joel, and Leah. He is also estranged from the twins, Cara and Mady, who are now 24 years old. He hopes this changes in the future.
Jon keeps up with his kids through Hannah. She talks to her siblings and gives her dad updates. "She told me they're doing really well, too," he stated.
Jon loves his estranged children from afar. He has faith they "will come around and maturity will set in."
He also gave an update about Mady and Cara. "They're healthy, wealthy, and they have a career," he explained, "so I can't really complain. And I think we did a really good job getting them there."
Jon even hopes to mend fences with his ex-wife Kate. They split in 2009 and it was messy to say the least. "I don't really have a friendship with Kate," he explained. "I mean, I haven't talked to her since 2018. But I think things kind of work themselves out in the future."
Jon now works as a DJ. He is madly in love with his girlfriend Stephanie Lebo and plans to propose to her soon. He has no plans to have any more kids in the future.
"We're both fixed so it's not happening," he explained to People in April 2024. "I'm not getting a reversal. It was annoying enough to get it fixed so I'm not going to go down that road. I'm 47. She's 36. We just want to enjoy life."
