Anonymous Woman Close To Duggar Family Says Josh Tried To Seduce Her When She Was Only 13

Josh Duggar was sentenced to 151 months in federal prison in May 2022 after being convicted on child pornography charges. He began serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institute, Seagoville the following month.

Duggar's child pornography trial wasn't the first time he had been accused inappropriate and dangerous behavior. Duggar molested four of his sisters in 2002 and 2003, and now an anonymous woman who claims to be close to the Duggar family has insisted that Duggar attempted to groom and seduce her when she was only 13 years old and he was 20 years old.

In a thread titled "I grew up closely connected with Anna Duggar and her family for 20+ years, AMA," the woman details her experiences with the family and with Josh specifically. When asked if any family members believe in Josh's innocence, she wrote, "He’s a creep and if you spent 20 min with him you knew it. I think there are a couple siblings who maaaaaybe think he could be innocent but for the most part it’s widely accepted he’s not innocent."

Another woman chimed in and explained, "I knew him casually and can confirm. Throughout the course of a few years I was around him several times at their house or various places and definitely got the creep vibes. I remember being 13 and feeling like he was hitting on me (he was like 19 or 20 at the time). I told my parents and of course the didn’t believe me ."

The original woman added that within the Duggars' family branch of Christianity, women who sin are punished much more swiftly than men. She wrote, "If a man commits a sin it’s forgiven as a moral failure if a woman or non binary person commits a sin it’s damnation clearly."

One commenter seemed slightly skeptical by that surprise and asked, "I mean, we snark about this, but within the community is it really that black and white?"

The poster replied, "Yes," and another added, "It really is that simple."

Another person asked if Josh's siblings Jessa and Jed are two of the siblings who think he might not be as guilty as others do. The commenter answered, "On some level, Jessa knows that Josh is a creep, but she can’t outright admit it to herself without compromising her entire reality."
