Kelly Clarkson Admits To Taking Antidepressants To Cope With Her Divorce

Kelly Clarkson has been extremely open about her divorce and how she's managed. She recently shared that antidepressants played a huge role in her getting through. On the Las Culturistas with Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang podcast, the singer claimed that she "wouldn't have made it through" without them.

"I was on Lexapro for like, I think two months," she revealed. "My thing was, I just can't smile anymore for America right now. I'm not happy and I need help. It was honest to God, the greatest decision ever."

The 41-year-old shared how it was hard to get through therapy some days. "I looked at my therapist and I just couldn't stop sobbing. I was like, 'I actually had to cancel some of the other day because I couldn't stop crying. I cannot do this.'" Her kids are also in therapy following the divorce, to help them navigate a home without two parents.
