Recently, Kanye West's controversial antics reentered the headlines. During his performance on Saturday Night Live, the rapper wore a "Make America Great Again" hat and praised President Trump for entirely too long.
"If someone inspires me and I connect with them, I don’t have to believe in all they policies," Kanye said.
Audience members booed and laughed at Kanye until he was done. Although the footage never made it to air, comedian Chris Rock recorded the whole thing on his Instagram Stories.
That's not all, though. 'Ye also took to Twitter with more pro-Trump sentiments. In one tweet, he called to get rid of the 13th Amendment — the one that ended slavery. Again, celebrities publicly called him out for his statements.
A source told People that Kim Kardashian West disagrees with her husband, even though she continues to stand by him publicly.
“She’s just managing him the best she can,” the source said.
Kanye West performed on the season premiere of Saturday Night Live. He wore a MAGA hat onstage and launched into an unexpected monologue about the usual topics — thought control, Trump, and the importance of love.
"Actually, blacks weren’t always Democrats,” Kanye's speech began.
“It’s like a plan they did to take the fathers out the homes and promote welfare. Does anybody know about that? That’s the Democratic plan. And what this shows is we can’t be controlled by monolithic thought."
Kanye went on to defend his support of Trump for the millionth time.
People laughed and booed at Kanye, including comedian Chris Rock, who recorded the whole thing and posted it to his Instagram Stories.
Someone even yelled "F*** Trump" from the audience, to which Kanye responded: "Try love."
Afterward, the rapper took to Twitter to reiterate his support for Trump and call for the abolishment of the 13th Amendment, which ended slavery.
Kanye caught a lot of flack for the incident from pretty much everyone except… Donald Trump.

Also, Kanye's wife, Kim Kardashian West, continues to stand by his side. But that's only in public, a source told People.
Privately, Kim isn't afraid to disagree with her husband, the source reported.

"She lets him take the lead, and she never disagrees with him publicly. She has decided that’s the right move, but she isn’t scared to share her disagreements with him behind closed doors,” the source said.
Kim reportedly voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election. However, she chooses to keep their differences behind closed doors.
"Don’t think that she’s afraid of him, because she’s not,” the source continued. “She’s just managing him the best she can."
After the huge backlash, Kim even posted a photo of the couple together, as if to prove that they're still going strong.
Her caption, "❤️We Got Love ❤️," mirrored Kanye's suggestion onstage to "try love."
Previously, a source told People that Kanye's behavior can be challenging for Kim.
"Having all this backlash against Kanye is embarrassing for her and her family, but she will never say that," the source said.
However, "she supports Kanye through and through, and truly does think her husband is entitled to his own opinion."
On Monday, Kanye confirmed to TMZ that he is "off of medication" and "thinking, doing, being himself."
He ended his SNL speech by thanking the audience for listening.
"Thank y'all for giving me this platform. I know some of y'all don't agree."
