She Takes A Rusty Old Strainer And Transforms It Into A Rustic Lighting Fixture

I love taking time to give my home a refresher, but I don't always want to spend a lot of money. That's why I'm a huge fan of upcycling and finding a way to repurpose items I already own into something amazing.

Whether it's using cinder blocks to transform my patio, or one of countless other inspired DIY projects, there are so many ways to upgrade your home on a budget.

Since I'm focusing on brightening up my kitchen, I was totally blown away by these amazingly easy upcycle projects. With some basic hardware and old kitchen utensils, these DIYers are creating gorgeous, "magazine-worthy" lighting fixtures.

Using just an old fruit bowl or even a few whisks, you too can build incredible chandeliers and lamps that add a simple and rustic feel to your kitchen space. Plus, it's a real opportunity to take something you'd normally throw away and give it a completely new life.
