But what to do with all the leftover wine to ensure it doesn't go bad before the week is through? After all, once you've cracked open the bottle, wine goes bad pretty quickly.

But wine lovers rejoice! This easy life hack is here to solve this perplexing problem. Amanda Hesser of Food52 shares a trick she learned for saving leftover wine. No gadgets required!

All you need is a mason jar, or a jam or pickling jar. The trick is to fill the extra wine all the way to the top until a small amount spills out when you screw the lid on top. Amanda says the wine will stay good for a whole week longer than normal!
