Lifeguard Rescues A Drowning Toddler In A Wave Pool

Summer is approaching fast, but the warm weather already has us dragging our feet to the nearest pool. The dog days of summer are meant for poolside chats, picnics, and all kinds of frozen treats, but the season comes with its fair share of warnings for parents and children.

There are still many ways one can injure him or herself: one mom is warning parents to check the temperature of the water in their hoses before filling kiddie pools for their children, for example.

But even simply keeping an eye on your kids can save their lives. Sometimes, parents get distracted, but children should nevertheless be supervised at all times, especially in seemingly harmless situations that can put them in danger.

Your local pool can be one of these places: when there are so many people around, it's hard to keep track of individuals.

In South Carolina, a fast-acting and very keen-eyed lifeguard saved the life of a little 3-year-old girl who was drowning in a wave pool — while the others around her had no idea what was really happening. The toddler is thankfully safe and sound after being pulled up by the hero lifeguard, but this instance is a good reminder to all parents to have their children supervised!
