Seals and sea lions are often referred to as the dogs of the sea. The reason? Well, just take a glimpse of this adorable video below and you'll certainly get the gist.
In the short clip, a sea lion joins a man on his small boat and goes for a ride. He also plops his head on the stranger's shoulder as if they've met before. How unforgettable is that?!
"Here's my new friend. He jumped aboard out at the bridge," the man says. "Just hanging out with me. Snuggled right against my back."
We've seen similar type of behavior before when videographer Gary Grayson was scuba diving in the U.K. and encountered a seal who wanted belly rubs. There was also another diver who received a ton of kisses from a sea lion while he was swimming in the water.
This adorable video received more than 9 million views on the Facebook page of America's Funniest Home Videos in less than a week, along with loads of comments from awestruck viewers.
"Love that little face. Oh my heart would be so happy if that happened to me!" one viewer wrote.
Another said, "So cool. I think he was enjoying the warmth of another being and the attention. Maybe he was hoping for a fish."
