The internet was set on fire last week when an anonymous user from the imageboard 4chan uploaded a picture of a man with text saying, "Spotted this specimen trying to dance the other week. He stopped when he saw us laughing."
The photo shows the man wildly dancing until he notices someone taking his photo. That's when he stopped and looked down at the floor with embarrassment on his face. After he was cruelly body-shamed and bullied by partygoers, the man is finally getting the last laugh!
Twitter user Cassandra Fairbanks sprung to action after seeing the photo. Along with her LA women's group, which has nearly 2,000 members, Fairbanks tweeted an invitation to a dance party and a request to find the so-called "dancing man." In only 12 hours, Twitter found the London man named Sean.
Now, Dancing Man is getting the party of the year, as plenty of celebrities, including "Happy" singer Pharrell Williams and Ellie Goulding, have come out in support of Sean and have all expressed interest in performing at the man's special dance party in Los Angeles. Sean has commented that he is "completely overwhelmed" by the support and hasn't "stopped smiling and laughing."
There's no doubt that Sean will be treated to a very special dance party that will be hosted at the LA Coliseum. The event has already raised more than $35,000 online through a GoFundMe page. (Any proceeds not used for the #dancingman dance party will be donated to an anti-bullying campaign.)
