Man Stuns Doctors And Walks Again After Severe Injury

Larry Sanderson was catching some waves on a boogie board when suddenly he hit his head and broke six vertebrae. It seemed his life would be changed forever.

“Next thing I knew, this big bright light came behind me and I said, ‘I’m ready,’” Sanderson told Pennsylvania’s CBS 21.

Sanderson was revived on the beach and taken to the hospital. He was later moved to a rehab center, but doctors didn’t think he’d ever walk again.

“They never said never to him because they didn’t want to discourage him,” wife Kathleen said. “They were preparing me for the worst.”

With medical help and love from his family, Sanderson beat the odds, much like the man who was brought back to life after being frozen to death.

Below, we see the unbelievable moment Sanderson was able to walk again. Much like the paralyzed athlete who learned to walk again after 25 years, it's simply incredible to watch this miracle.

“From the level that he was at the very beginning, probably about between 20 and 40 percent may get to the strength it would take to walk after a year,” said Dr. Timothy Husdon. (Hence why Sanderson's recovery is simply incredible!)
