If you're a homeowner, and you're burdened with old medicine bottles that you just don't know what to do with, look no further. This unbelievably simple craft is a total game changer.
Have you ever been locked out of your house before? If you have, you know that it's absolutely awful. You reach into your pockets or purse, eager to throw down your things, flop down, and slip out of your shoes and into your favorite comfy pants — only to realize your keys are nowhere to be found.
What do you do? You never bought that overly expensive spare key lockbox, and everyone knows the "under the welcome mat" trick. Expletives flood your mind as you realize you're simply out of luck until someone comes home or you call a locksmith.
And that's where this ingenious project comes in.
For little to no cost — or effort — you will never find yourself stranded outside your home ever again. And no need to worry about it being spotted by prowlers or nosy neighbors; pick the right spot, and there's no way it could ever be found.
I'm grabbing some glue on my way home and doing this tonight. Will you?

First, get a clean rock, an old medicine bottle, and some epoxy glue.
Remove the label from your bottle and clean it out well. Make sure your rock will fit nicely on the lid.
Apply the glue to the lid and rock; let them sit for 2 minutes, then stick them together. Allow the glue to cure for 24–48 hours before placing it outside.
Epoxy glue is best, as it won't be affected by extreme temperatures. Once it's dried, drop in your key, then find the perfect spot outside!
You can also use other items as a disguise, like a pinecone. However, keep the position of the lid in mind, as you'll have to unscrew it.
The spare key is in this picture. Can you spot it?
There it is! Now you'll never have to worry about being stranded again.
