Sharon Osbourne Says Ozzy Can No Longer Walk But ‘His Voice Is As Good As It’s Ever Been’

Years after Ozzy Osbourne announced that he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, his wife Sharon Osbourne is sharing a health update on his behalf. Sharon, 72, explained that her husband is no longer able to walk, but “his voice is as good as it’s ever been” in a new interview with The Sun.

The health update comes just after the original members of Black Sabbath announced that they will perform together one last time. The heavy metal band will perform in Birmingham, England on July 5, 2025. In a press release, Ozzy, 76, said he feels “blessed … to do it with the help of people whom I love.”

Sharon told The Sun that her husband is “very happy to be coming back and very emotional about the reunion.” She added, “Parkinson’s is a progressive disease. It’s not something you can stabilize.”

About five years ago, Ozzy opened up about his Parkinson’s diagnosis. At the time, he said how significant his fans’ support was to him. “I’ve owned up to the fact that I have — a case of Parkinson’s. And I just hope they hang on and they’re there for me because I need them,” he told Good Morning America. “I wanna see my people, you know. It’s like I’m — I miss them so much.”

Over the past several years, his health challenges have made it difficult for him to perform. During a recent interview with the BBC, Sharon said that her husband wants to perform one last time. She explained it was because he “didn’t have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans.” Though the performance is “exciting for everyone,” it will be Ozzy’s final show, Sharon confirmed.

“He’s doing really great,” she told the BBC. She added that Ozzy’s “so excited about this, about being with the guys again and all his friends.”
