Georgia Mom Charges $30 A Ticket To ‘Meet And Greet’ Influencer Tour For Her 3-Year-Old

You may have heard the now age-old philosophical question: How young is too young for your child to be on social media? But have you ever thought, How young is too young to host your own meet-and-greet?

A mom to a 3-year-old Instagram “influencer” is facing criticism after she announced a meet-and-greet tour for her toddler across several states.

According to Daily Dot, Shawniece Shepherd, a Georgia mom, announced the tour for her child, who has over 229,000 followers on Instagram and more than 65,000 on TikTok. Her toddler also has her own online store that she models for, with products like lip gloss and nail polish.

Shepherd was charging $30 per ticket for followers to “meet” her child, and she even made comments about how her 3-year-old has been “wanting to do this.”

TikTok influencer @mom.uncharted made a video commenting on the event, saying that this is “one of the most bizarre things I’ve seen.”

“When I say the parasocial relationships on social media are out of control, this is a great example,” the influencer said.

The flyers for the tour have since been taken down.

@mom.uncharted Replying to @Eboni IMO every account that soley features a child under the age of 13 on SM should be shut down- the state of child exploitation is completely out of control #reply #fyp #toddler #parents #parenting #kids #influencers #socialmedia #insta #exploitation #exploitationawareness #minorsafety #onlinesafety #meetandgreet #greenscreen ♬ original sound - mom.uncharted
