We're probably all too familiar with the disappointment of returning to your car to find a little printed receipt slipped neatly under its windshield wiper. Parking tickets can surprise even the best of us, but one hilarious video imagines what might happen if you challenged your meter maid. (Warning: there's some strong language in this video!)
The following video from YouTube channel DidThatJustHappen was a stunt created for the social network site Car Lister, an app aimed at connecting automobile sellers with potential buyers. In it, we watch actress Jenni Ruiza dressed as a meter maid throwing some sass at unruly cab drivers. After being issued a fake parking ticket, the cabbie starts mouthing off and refuses to move his car. Her next move? Lift his rigged cab off the ground and shock horrified and unsuspecting New Yorkers.
"That's girl power!" yelled one woman.
So you may be wondering how such a tiny woman managed to pull off the elaborate prank. According to the video below, the director and his crew loaded thousands of pounds of steel at the rear end of the car and left the front empty. By the end of her stunt, she encouraged curious onlookers to give the car a lift themselves (which may have helped ease their shock).
If there's a lesson to be learned here, it's never mess with your meter maid.
