If you were going to disguise yourself, what would you do? Wear a wig? Big sunglasses?
Well, if you're Michael Gump, you take a slightly different route.
Michael is a prop master for TV shows, and so he has access to a lot of random items — and we want to emphasize the a lot and random parts of that statement.
Last New Year's, he resolved to create a new disguise for himself every day and post it on his Instagram. And we don't mean the kind of disguise where he would look like a different person, like this undercover cop.
We're talking something much weirder. And boy, has he followed through on those in what might be the weirdest display of artistic talent you've seen.
That is, until he unveils what he's planning for next year…
Take a look at these bizarre images, and who knows? Maybe you'll get some inspiration for next Halloween!

Back at the beginning of this year, Michael Gump decided to create a "disguise" for himself each day.
Using everything from toys to office supplies to actual food, he covers himself in the items and snaps a picture.
They're certainly not traditional disguises, but then again, you probably can't tell what his real face looks like, can you?
And since the project's inception, he's posted a new disguise every day, come rain…
…or shine.
Some of them are planned out ahead of time, but many, he says, are thought up on the spot.
"I do have ideas, but a lot of it is flying by the seat of my pants," he explained on the Instagram blog.
"Often I'll be somewhere and I'll see a pile of stuff and think, 'Should I put that on my face?'"
It looks like the answer is often yes.
He's also experimented with color themes, covering the entire rainbow. These present the unique challenge of only using items of a particular color.
Most of the disguises involve literally sticking items to his body. The smaller the item, like these tacks, the more of them he needs.
Sometimes, he plays with obscuring parts of his body for effect, like becoming a strawberry.
It looks like fun, but it also takes a lot of hard work setting everything up, getting a good photo, and we can only imagine what cleanup is like!
Especially when, like many of them, Michael's photos involve real food, like these sprinkles.
But still, we're glad someone is doing this. It's crazy projects like this that make the world a bit more of a surreal, magical place.
And yes, he's prepared for the holidays.
Now that the year is almost up, Michael plans on continuing his project, with his new goal being 1,000 disguises.
You can see more of Michael's work on his Instagram — though be forewarned that some images may not be safe for work.
