During a taping of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Cari Curtis thought she was just there to see the show. She had no idea Ellen actually had a big surprise in store.
The talk show host invited Curtis, a military wife and mother from Fort Bragg, on stage to tell her story. She thought Ellen just wanted to tell their story, but she was actually there to receives a big holiday surprise.
Cari's husband Drew is in the U.S. Army Special Forces and they have two sons, Mason, 5, and Jackson, 2. Ellen surprises the family with a special holiday gift: a $2,000 Nordstrom gift certificate and a $3,000 Target gift card. Curtis is overcome with emotion, breaking down in tears. What a truly amazing family. Thank you to all our service men and women for everything that you do.
