Guste Janusauskaite, 22, is a model from Weston, Florida. She says her mom recently decided to set up some Ring cameras around their house — a trend that's catching on among homeowners who want to feel more protected.
But since Guste lives in a gated community that's typically very safe and secure from the outside world, she told her mom the cameras were a silly idea and not even necessary.
She quickly learned just how helpful the extra security can be.
Hours after installing the cameras, Guste came home around 2 a.m. and heard strange sounds coming from outside her bedroom window.
The Ring camera captured a man peeking inside her window while Guste stood just a few feet away inside. Even more terrifying is that Guste says this man had actually been stalking her for who knows how long.
“I think the scariest part is the fact that he was coming to my window minutes after I got home, so he knew my schedule somehow, or he knew where I was coming from,” she told Inside Edition.
That wouldn't be the last time the man came lurking around. He came back night after night.
The entire ordeal prompted the young woman to move across the state. "I can go out without being scared but I do still carry pepper spray everywhere I go now," she said.
"The whole thing really shook me."
