Sending a text to the wrong contact is embarrassing — but not quite as humiliating as sending a message that was meant for your close friends and relatives to all of your contacts. All 487 of them. A woman on TikTok had this exact experience when she decided to create an "evite" for her child's first birthday party and unintentionally sent it to every person whose number she had ever saved. Emily King, 30, explained that she used Evite to send the invitation and there's an option to "import contacts." She thought she'd be able to import her contacts then select the people she wanted to invite — but instead, the invitation was automatically sent to all 487 contacts.
To make it even worse, Emily said the invites were sent to people "based off how they are stored in [her] phone."
"I want you to take a second and think about everyone stored in your phone and how they're stored in your phone," she said in the video.
Derek eye roll" received an invitation to the birthday party, and "Jess Hit Her Car In Parking Lot" was also invited.
Emily told Today.com that she never deletes contacts from her phone, so even some people she met years ago and didn't plan on talking to ever again were invited to the party — including "Cute guy from bar," "Justin Delta Sky Lounge" and her lab partner from high school.
"I have to quit or get a new identity," Emily said on TikTok. Many TikTok users were mortified on Emily's behalf, and they took to the comments to joke about the names they have saved in their phones.

"Or your daughters party is going to be LIT," the TikToker wrote.
