Dave and Lori dated through high school and got married in 1983. At the time, doctors told the couple it was unlikely they would have kids; Lori was diagnosed with muscular dystrophy, and her illness was progressing. But Dave and Lori were blessed with three miracle children named Valerie, David, and Heather.
Fast-forward to their son David's wedding in 2012, when the camera caught something absolutely stunning. In the tear-jerking video below, watch the amazing moment David sweeps his mom out of her wheelchair to dance together, cheek-to-cheek. You can see how much he truly loves his mother. There wasn't a dry eye in the room.
That same year, Lori established Lori’s Voice, a nonprofit organization that has provided $50,000 in assistance to families with children who have disabilities. “I have a firm belief that God is using Lori as an instrument,” husband Dave told the Diocese of Grand Rapids. “She inspires so many with her disease.” Her husband is her primary caregiver who helps her with everything from dressing to showering. This is one of the most incredible wedding moments I've ever seen.
What an awesome testament to the love between a mother and child. If you agree, please SHARE this with your friends on Facebook!
