When David Slater, an award-winning photographer, was visiting a national park in North Sulawesi, Indonesia he accidentally left his camera unattended. This little black mysterious thing caught the attention of a female from a group of crested black macaque monkeys who decided to pick it up.
Slater said this macaque became fascinated with her reflection in the lens and accidentally dropped the camera. The sound garnered the attention of the other monkeys and soon they all came running towards it. Slater said they all started to look into the lens, showing their teeth, when suddenly it went off.
One monkey became so enamored with the sound of the camera that he kept continually pushing the button – capturing dozens of the most amazing primate selfies ever record.
