Serendipity 3 in New York City is known for extravagance and their famous frozen hot chocolate. The dessert is so coveted that people come from all over the world just to try it. Not letting itself be outdone, the talented, creative, and extravagant chefs at the restaurant have come up with a hamburger so good that it takes 48-hours advance notice just to get one. Oh and did we mention that the burger just so happens to cost $295?
Yes, you read that right. 295 DOLLARS. That's crazy talk!
Entitled ‘Le Burger Extravagant,’ this mean meal consists of Japanese Wagyu beef, Salish Alderwood smoked Pacific sea salt, aged cheddar cheese, black truffles, a fried quail egg, on a gold-dusted campagna roll. Yes, gold.
Now if that wasn't enough, the burger has to come with some serious fixings, right? Of course it does. The toppings include a blini, which is similar to a crepe, some crème fraiche, and Kaluga caviar, which costs roughly $80 an ounce. To make sure this burger doesn't topple it comes with a toothpick made of solid gold and entrusted in diamonds. This burger is so insane it made the list for the Guinness World Book for most expensive burger.
Think the burger is just a tad overpriced? Well then you haven't seen the Golden Opulence Sundae on Serendipity 3's menu which runs up a tab of $1,000.00. It's also in the Guinness World Book for most expensive sundae.
