Mother’s Dying Wish Is To Dance With Her Son On His Wedding Day. I’m In Tears.

Mary Ann Manning was a fighter, so when she learned that her breast cancer had become life-threatening, she knew she had to stay alive long enough to dancer with her son on his wedding day.

The mother's first dance with her son as a married man was also the last time she'd ever dance. The 61-year-old from Dublin, California lost her fight only three days later. There wasn't a dry eye in the house as Manning and her son, Ryan, slowly swayed to Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s “Over the Rainbow/What A Wonderful World.” Luckily, a guest caught the bittersweet moment on film, a video Manning's family will cherish forever. Three days later, Mary Ann passed away.

In her obituary, the family wrote "We will never forget your love… May the rainbows follow you forever."
