It looks as though even sea creatures like to take a break from their everyday jobs once in awhile! A giant octopus literally tried to make a “run for it” as he climbed up to escape from his glass tank at the Seattle Aquarium this past week.
A YouTube user managed to record Ink the octopus trying to climb out of his tank, shocking visitors who were worried that he might actually make his way out of his enclosure. This guy definitely managed to make his way through what looked like a rather complex task, until an aquarium employee managed to put him back inside his tank — with her bare hands, nonetheless — thus thwarting him in his quest for freedom.
Needless to say, Ink didn’t get too far, although it has caused some debate about animals being taken out of their natural habitats. This clip just proves that octopi love to explore the boundaries of their temporary homes.
