Swagger isn't just for the kids. I think we've seen time and time again that getting older does not mean you lose the things that made you cool. In fact, most people get way cooler with age.
Older folk have a plethora of interesting stories, vintage clothing, and a lifetime's worth of wisdom. I mean, just look at Baddie Winkle's carefree attitude or how this 100-year-old dancer still moves as gracefully as she did in her twenties.
So what's up with the sad and sorry stereotype? I think it's time we end the little nasty rumor once and for all. Enter photographer Alex de Mora. Inspired by his 92-year-old grandmother, de Mora created a photo shoot called Life of Leisure. The photos depict older folks in high-fashion street wear, dressed as hipsters and being generally too cool for school.
The photo series originally appeared in VICE. Check out more work from Alex de Mora over at his website and Tumblr!
