OK moms, now this one is going to be relatable for many. How many times have you gone above and beyond for your child and received a ton of praise for it? It's probably rare, right? Because mothers are expected to do the things they do for their kids.
But how many times has the father of your child done the simplest thing, and received an outpouring of praise from family, friends, and even strangers? Probably more often! One mom decided to make a song to shed a little humor on this relatable experience that many moms have.
Farideh, a musician, released her song, "You Are Such a Good Dad." The viral hit sheds light on how little fathers are often expected to do, yet how highly they are praised.
"The most annoying part is when everybody approaches your husband and is like, 'Oh my God, he's just such an amazing father,'" Farideh told TODAY.com. "He's literally pushing a stroller. He's not doing anything amazing."

"He's just being out in public with his child," she continued. "And then I took the idea to write about all the things I do to zero acknowledgments and how my husband is praised just for existing in the presence of our child."
Joining a comedy class last year is what helped the mother expand her skills and hone in on how to mix music and motherhood. While many people have found the song humorous, she has received some negative comments as well.
"Do you want a [expletive] trophy?!?!?" one person commented. "They usually don't give them to stay at home mum's (doll bludgers) get a job ffs ."
"It’s not a competition," another person wrote. "Stop shaming men for being present."
But Farideh wants to make it clear that she isn't shaming men, or her husband. She says the song is "really about how society treats my partner, not about how my partner is engaging in the workload."
And her husband is obviously not offended by the content she's creating to help other moms feel seen. He even stars in one of her videos, frolicking in the leaves while she does the housework.
The musician has gotten such great feedback from the content she's created for mothers, that she just released an album titled The Mother Load. "It explores all the things that mothers carry. There's just this endless, endless standard that we're trying to meet and I think sometimes the more I try to be the perfect mom, the worse of a mom I become because I become more controlling," she said. "Sometimes by lowering the standards, I'm actually a better mother."
