A recent video from a whale watcher riding abroad Whale Watching Sydney caught a particularly curious humpback acting in ways that I've never seen before!
If you've ever been on a whale watch, or even seen footage from one, you know that whales typically like to surface around boats, but this whale seems like he's actually sticking his head out of the water and looking at the boat! Then he swims playfully underneath it, and surfaces again, just taking another look at the boat and everyone on it!
What a lot of people don't know is that whales are incredibly smart, naturally curious animals. Their understanding of us may be much deeper than we realize, which is why I am completely against any kind of whale hunting for sport. How could anyone go after one of the most gentle creatures in the ocean?
