While on a kayaking trip in the open waters of Monterey Bay, Cimeron Morrissey noticed a giant group of sea lions had surface right before their very eyes. Thinking that was an amazing once-in-a-lifetime sight to see, everyone was impressed and took their cameras out. Little did they know something a little bit more unbelievable was lurking in the water below!
Suddenly a humpback whale came up to the surface of the water and about 10-feet from her boat before crashing down underwater again.
Then, in just seconds, Cimeron noticed the humpback whale was now swimming directly underneath her kayak and all of a sudden what she called "a barnacle-encrusted" tail jukes out from the water, about 10-inches from her face!
The footage is absolutely incredible!! Can you imagine being that close to a humpback whale?
