They Used a Ouija Board to Contact Their Dead Dog. Now? They Are Fighting For Their Lives!

Do you believe in Ouija boards?

Ouija boards, or Talking Boards, are flat boards with the letters of the alphabet; the numbers zero through nine; the words "yes," "no," "hello," and "goodbye;" and occasionally a variety of other graphics. Supposedly, the board serves as an intermediary between the spirit world and the human world by using a planchette that is said to reveal the words and thoughts of the deceased.

Whether it really works is obviously a subject of debate. Scientists, occultists, and religious leaders all have differing opinions on the matter. I think most people think of Ouija boards as just a harmless Hasbro toy that uses our own superstitious thoughts and the subtle power of suggestion to move the planchette. But religious leaders, particularly in Christian denominations, warn that the board is tampering with the paranormal and can lead to possession.

I've never given much thought about the things, personally, but some people believe in the powers of these boards.

Two English women are now in the hospital after a Ouija board supposedly threatened their lives.

This story is bizarre, shocking, and unlike anything I've ever heard. Please SHARE!

Margaret Carroll, 60, and her daughter, Katrina Livingstone, 37, wanted to communicate with their dead dog, Molly. Margaret's husband, Paul, had brutally killed the dog by drowning him. He is now awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to causing unnecessary suffering of a protected animal, but Margaret and Katrina still wanted closure.

After using the Ouija board, Katrina spoke to her neighbor, Donna Sowerby the next morning. Katrina claimed that the board had threatened them and told them they were going to die.

That night, firefighters rushed to the scene when smoke from a fire at their house had begun to fill the neighborhood. Neighbors poured out of their houses to see the immense flames.

The neighbor, Donna Sowerby, describes hearing a small explosion and seeing one of the firefighters blown back.

Katrina and her mother were discovered passed out in the backyard. The women were both rushed to the hospital where they remain in critical condition.

Did they really provoke the powers of the paranormal by using a Ouija board?

The police aren't so sure. They are investigating both women for attempted arson, but strangely, most of the injuries they are being treated for are unrelated to the fire, but hospital officials are not yet revealing details of those injuries.

What do you think? Did the Ouija board bring bad energy upon the mother and daughter? Is it paranormal forces at work, or are they just using that as a red herring? Did the Ouija board possibly "possess" them?
